i should REALLY be asleep
i hav a class at 9 but i just need to blog abt this first
i have just experienced my very first earthquake!
and typical me,
i didnt feel a thing,heh
p.s super duper karaoke nite at the footage was funny :)
last wednesday we went out for indian
to celebrate the fact that i am now 20 and a half years old
so i was pretty touched that they bought me a gift
and such a meaningful one at that!
when we went to york i was complaining i didnt hav gloves
and daria let me try hers which were leather gloves
and we decided to go shopping for gloves on friday
but they ended up buying me leather gloves anyways
so i was really happy :)
then off to moonlight for my icecream!
and to the footage
where hayley sent a text saying "happy half birthday iman we love u!"
so it was displayed on the screen at the pub :)
seriously i am so gonna suffer next year all alone,heh

and tonite had dinner w/ shakir but i'll blog abt that later

yesterday we celebrated my half birthday but i'll tell u that in another post,
today took a coffee with daria then sent her to the bus station
cuz she had to take the coach to the liverpool airport for her flight to paris
shes spending the weekend with remi :)
anyhoooo,
after that i didnt really feel like going back,
soooo i walked around
and ended up at the picadilly train station!
i love the train station,dont u :)
all those ppl rushing to and fro
and the platforms,
and the small cafes
theres something magical about it
or mebbe its just the thought of getting on a train and going somewhere
or picking up someone,
its nice :)
anywayss,
i had a fun 2 hours meandering abt the train station,
taking passport photos even tho i looked horrible today
[someone actually asked if i was sick!heh]
then i bought a novel and read a while at starbucks
and had my second vanilla latte of the day
it was guuuuuuuuud,
and i was contemplating my future a bit,
on how i wud be living alone next year
and daria and monica's not gonna be around anymore
usually when i think abt it i wud be really sad
but just now i felt like it wudnt be so bad,
i dunno why,heh
it was like im beginning to accept my fate,haha
ok gtg,

AAAaaaaAAArrGGGhhH
today the MOST horrible and yet the most amazing thing happened to me,
but before i get into details theres a few things i'd like to mention before
first things first,
cheerleading yesterday was super!
u had to do again in pairs, but instead of a dance off u just had to walk in the centre of the room
im thinkin in a really perky way, with u know hip shakes and stupid things like that
and the ones who did it the best got to use the pompoms first,
and guess who did,
none other but urs truly of course!
mwahahahahahahahhahahahahahaha
tak sia-sia being categorised as gedik in Al-Amin for all those years,heh
last Saturday we went for a day trip to York and OMG it was awesome
its this quaint little town with tiny cobblestone streets and small shops and old buildings
first we went to the minestry or church or whuteva and climbed this round narrow staircase which can only fit ONE person for 15 to 20 minutes sampai kaki nak patah
but we were rewarded by the most amazing view
then we bought pastries and ate it by the fountain and met this cute typically british old lady
and went to the food market where i bought turkish delight and italian biscuits and dried fruits and raspberry flavoured cherries and spinach florentines and yorkshire curt tart and hot cross buns
it was WICKED
then we went to the castle museum where they had these costumes from olden days and they even had the first edition of VOGUE!
and an authentic victorian street with victorian shops and victorian classrooms,
there was also a viking festival the day went so we got to see a viking battle reenacted and i tool pictures with vikings,not young ones tho urgh
BUT i fulfilled my dream of meeting vikings, now i only need to find cajun men haha
Lastly we went to Betty's tearoom!
its this pretty posh english tearoom where u actually had to queue to get a sit!
And inside everything was pretty and the food was amazing
we had tea with scones and strawberry jam and clotted cream which was again,AMAZING
it caused us a pretty penny but im guessing because its a real nice place and the presentation was amazing so it was well worth it!

AND NOW,
to the most amazing / horrible thing that happened to me!
Today i went for an audition for COMPANY
which is a musical with music from Stephen Sondheim
u know the guy who did sweeney todd,haha
ANyhoo, ive been emailing the person asking is it ok i dun hav experience, im wearing the scarf bla bla bla
and she said its all guuuuuuuuud
yeah,right.
i came and all the other ppl auditioning were freaking professionals!
one girl had singing lessons since she was 10 and was picking songs to sing out of this big book of broadway songs!
and they all were doing degrees like english and drama,music and drama, and i was doing business,heh
And when i went in they said ok we'll test ur voice first and he started playing the piano and i basically had to sing following the keys he was playing
and he kept on saying " ok go higher,go higher"
i felt so shitty!!!
And then i had to sing the song i prepared and halfway thru i forgot the lyrics!!!
ANd had to refer to the paper,
then i had to do the four last lines again but with emotions
and then i had to read the script
And u know just my luck i wud have picked the script for the girl who's suppose to be this hippy spunky wierd character,
and i didnt hav time to read thru the script so i had to improvise and there was these two parts where i had to do gestures with my ass that i didnt do cuz i didnt read thru yet!
and i read too fast and was too nervous and didnt put enough emotion!
And they said to TRY and do an american accent as well since COMPANY is set in new york
the audition was CRAZYYYY!!!
i felt amazed that i actually went thru with it,
and tho i know i hav no chance competing with the professionals,
i really really REALLY want a part in this musical!
and i feel like if i had the second chance,
i wud have gone back and did the audition properly and be more prepared,
well as prepared as i can be without previous trainings i guess,heh
but it was so horrible but amazing at the same time
i dun regret going thru with it :)
so people make d'uas that i get the part ok!
i will forever be in debt!
p.s wanna thank rukiya for actually staying till four and daria for skipping her class just to come with me for moral support...u guys r the best

today we had to do a dance off
a pair has to go in the middle and dance or fight or whatever with the other pair
i.e a dance off
i love the class~~~~

Carnivale or Mardi Gras or Pancake Day was great!

monica : arancini and some delish strawberry pastries
daria : crepe w/ chocolate
lauren and hayley : some choco biscuits and pancake
emma : pancakes w/ orange
iman : creme caramel and pineapple upside down cake
lynette : started to help me make kuih keria but we decided it was too much hassle,heh
suffice to say, we all skipped dinner that nite in preparation of the big food fest ;)
"Penelope" was just, wow
James Mcavoy is, and will always be, woww
[unfortunately he's married to that actress from shameless :( ]
and that kiss in the end,

[at least it is for me,or mebbe i just like the fact that its JAMES MCAVOY]
managed to turn Monica into a big fan of his as well
and in case, u didnt know ppl,
his face will grace my study table for the whole year
[i hav his desktop calendar mwahahahaha]
p.s it was snowing in manchester, and all the cars had a dusting of white like sugar sprinkled candy...to say we were a bit excited would hav been an understatement
