last fri i went for this pre-departure briefing @ sunway by STA travel
tolong-lah chop my body into pieces and feed my innards to the sharks
i went into the hall and got the shock of my life when i saw CHILDREN staring back at me
okay,children might be exaggerating it a bit,
more like pubescent teens,or young adults,or adolescents
u know that wet behind your ears,face covered with pimples,eager eyed look they have going on tu
i may be exaggerating again,heh

but they look so young!
who'da thunk that one year wud make THAT much of a difference
and get this,
the young adults are each going to Sheffield,LSE,Warwick,Manchester and Imperial respectively
suddenly i felt old AND dumb
they're not only young but smart to boot!

watched Hot Fuzz w/ ibu,ayah,ikhlas and ibrahim yesterday
watching it w/ ibrahim?
BIG MISTAKE
he completely RELISHED all that blood and gore
i tell u that budak is so wierd
muka pijak semut tak mati,
but the words that come out of his mouth are:decapitate,fatal,extinguish,assasinate
notice a trend here?
its strange when the rest of us are all a picture of normalcy,heh
but that movie,Hot Fuzz, memang best gila no lie

tadi i was singing lagu "Angel Eyes" in the car
okay ,belting it out was more like it lah
when suddenly ibu started singing along
i was amazed.
"Ibu tahu lagu tu?"
"Tahu"
See?See?It wasnt a figment of my imagination
Other ppl do know of its existance
but why oh WHY is it so hard to find even a single copy???
WHY am i being tortured like this????

imagine a beautiful night,
the scene takes u to the rooftop of some posh party,
inside you can see people mingling about and socializing,
then ur gaze falls upon this one guy,
with his silky black hair and dark brooding good looks
oh sure he smiles and laughs,

because the song AND the movie seemed to have disappeared of the face of the earth!
SERIOUSLY.

the movie entitled "Night Magic"
a 1985 canadian movie was a musical,or pop opera
tellin the story of Michael,a music hall artist
who gets his guardian angels to grant him his wish of money,success and women
and at the same time he falls in love with one of the angels,
she in turns falls right back in love with him
[ergo the song above]so she chooses to stay on earth and marries him and have his baby
but this is a case of when more is not enough,
he starts getting dissatisfied with everything he has and starts craving more
i dont really remember what actually happens later on
but i do know thatthe angels were supposed to kill him in the end?
and he died?
im not sure

all in all it was my FAVOURITE movie,
even tho the rating sucked[i guess it was a pretty bad movie,heh]
but i remembered sitting in ibu's room,
dressed in leotard rewinding the video tape to the angel eyes part
again and again,
singing and dancing to my hearts content and feeling as if everything was right in the world
[hey for an 8 year-old it was all good lah kan :p]
i remember playing singing contest w/ nabila and syukran and singing songs from the movie,
and when i had sang all the songs alredi,
i made them follow this stupid rule where u had to sing all the previous songs again
those were the days.

i LOVED the movie!
i LOVED the songs!
and i LOVED michael.
even tho he was one fucked up dude,
and ends up destroying everything good in his life.
but still,
theres just something abt him that makes u drawn to him

but now
now i cant watch it anymore!!!
i cant find it on the net,
i cant find it anywhere!
i even tried asking ayah and ilya to buy it for me di uk
but still not successful
and the only way i can have the soundtrack is for me to order it all the way from canada!
GILA TAK GILA.
tu pon only this one company actually keluarkan
i tell u the disappointment and the heartache im feeling is to the point of tears dah,
and im not talking abt those itty-bitty tears u shed like over something mundane
but those heartbreaking tears like over someone dying

So,
i beg of u,
pls anyone anywhere
if u ever.EVER.find the dvd or soundtrack or anything
pls pls PLEASE buy for me
and i WILL PAY YOU.
u can count on that...
