random thoughts

today was quite an eventful saturday
woke up early,had breakfast
did aerobics
and i spent a big part of the day studying
why?
because we need to do 5 hours preliminary reading for politics
and sociology is soo hard,
im reading but i dont know what the hell im reading
so it scares me.a LOT.

but financial reporting and economics is ook
just a lot of reading to do,
and a lot of assignments
maths is oookay since im learning the basics again
its wierd how a year and a half without learning maths can make u forget EVERYTHING
even the basics!
and computers is poo-poo,haha
but,STILL,theres a lot of things need to be done

today zahid came after iftar to hangout for a bit
and daria made apple crumble!
which was scrumptious :)
i think zahid is gonna be a permanent visitor at our flat,haha

zahid said something abt me being in the middle
not quite at ease with the very baik malaysians,
and also not at ease with the keco-keco malaysians,
[whom he went for shisha with later tonite]
and u know wut,
i agree.

i would rather stay in my flat and hangout with my incomparable flatmates
where we watched 10 things i hate about you and dirty dancing
then had an impromptu dance lessons!

i cannot tell u how i am SO unbelievably blessed to have them as flatmates
and the fact that im not so baik,but not so keco
i like that as well

and today i actually got to see ibu on msn video call
thanks to cik tina banana!
[heres a secret,
i was actually near tears when i saw ibu but since others were there
i controlled myself,haha
hussshhhhhhhhh]

so u know what folks,
i believe everything is going to be fiiiiine
Alhamdulillah!

but check back with me after my 2nd or 3rd week,
cuz my workload will definitely increase
and i hav NO IDEA when i will hav the time to do everything!


oooooohhh,but heres some good news!
next week ayah will be here!!!!
yippy for me :)

ok now im turning in for the night
its nearly 2 am
and im going grocery shopping w/ lynette tomo

more studying!!

ROYALLY flushed.

today was poker nite for the residents of flat 14,Bowden Court
and now i can finally say im a decent poker player
ok not really decent lah, passable lah,heh

anyhooo,
today also went for iftar with zahid
walked for 15 to 20 minutes in the very VERY cold weather
ate at SIZZLERS in Rusholme
then had ice creams @ Moonlight!!!
i tell u that shop is getting to be my utmost favourite shop
i had a double scoop of toffee fudge and raspberry ripple on a large waffle cone
delishhhhhhhh

do NOT mention the calories cuz we walked back again ookaaaayyy
in the rain,with the wind,and the cold
its the type of cold where ur teeth chatters and ur feet gets numb okay
so dont ask me why were still eating ice creams,heh

aaaaannnd today my classes started
and i forgot to put on my jacket
so i was walking in the rain in a thin sweater with the wind on full blast
even my payung terbalik
which shows Primark really cant be counted on
payung flimsy mcm tu is pure garbage

today i also got my first assignment
and did i start doing it?no
did i revise? no
why?
because ppl are still out on pub crawls and beer fests and wutnots
so if they hav time to party
i definitely hav time to catch up on my errands

but tomo is a new day and HOPEFULLY i wud have time to do some research on the assignment
and give it my all,
cuz im not kidding when i say the class today really scared the shit out of me
no dorothy,we are DEFINITELY not in kansas anymore!

so i have to really REALLY work hard to stay on top of things
and i have lectures jam packed in a week
and tutorials and workshops and seminars
and it is so UNFAIR that some ppl have wednesdays or thursdays or even fridays off!
i dont get any :(

and tomo i hav a fencing taster @ 7.45 pm
then the drama club social @ 8 pm
i am SO fully booked

so make d'ua for me okayyy!
and also pray that i'll be in the best of health,heh

guessed wut,i just found out from my roomates there was a fire alarm yesterday @ 4 am
and they asked me,
"u werent in last nite,were u?"
because the fire alarm in individual rooms were VERY loud
and so were the ones in the corridors and the common room and the kitchen
but u know wut,
i was in my room
sleeping peacefully thru the fire alarm as well as my sahur alarm
creepy thought kan?
thank god there wasnt an actual fire
or that could have been the end of moi
ish.

oh and i just looked thru my fresher's pack
and the many many MANY other packs i got from fresher's fair
and goody goody,
i got three free condoms!!
better make full use of them,heh

tadi i watched fruits basket w/ my roomate lynette,
who is [yay!] from johor :)
i swear that series is timeless lah it still makes me laugh like crazy

i've just moved in
and yeah i know,its one week AFTER the due date

ibu and ayah just went back
i feel so down.

and the weather here is crap
baru nak fall and u get winter weather
like under 10 degrees punya weather
and i hate it.

and today of all days
it decided to rain.BADLY.
to say it was raining cats and dogs would NOT be exaggerating
macam tau-tau je the weather kan,so completely in sync with my mood
heh

then today my halls did this big party kind of thing
complete with mechanical bull,fake sumo costumes,and all sorts of inflatable games
and free booze and free pizza and free cotton candy
all good clean fun lah kot
but because of the people it became...unclean?

oh! the great thing is the bar @ our common room has those strobe lights and all these great pictures
and one of em [yeap u guessed it] is audrey hepburn!
so thats kinda cool

not being the drinking type[like,ever.heh]
and not being able to eat,
i spent the thing just wandering around with roomates
and playing foosball
im no good tho

and the best yet,
the kakak from the Islamic Society called me up
invited me for iftar @ this other kakak's place
they cooked tomyam and stuff so that was great
and then,jemaah maghrib isyak terawih n all
AND tadarus
bagus gila kan?
i felt like crying from joy.im not kidding.

So that was my day.

Now if only itu perempuan bilik depan saya wud keep quiet
i know ur snockered as well as itu dua jantan u brought in but pls,
hav respect for others [namely,me]
im tired and im cranky
and i have a big day tomorrow

im going to the city centre!
which is shopping heaven!

Dear Diary,







today i fell in love.

as promised,

so heres our very first family picture in Manchester
and baru arrived today after NINE hours transit in Abu Dhabi
memang dah tertonggeng bergolek dan segalanya lah at the airport

moving on,
pictures frm the gathering last Saturday
[cant believe it was only last Saturday!]
one of the reasons it was so great was because i got to meet up with very very old friends :)





















then the next Wednesday was my flight to Manchester
pretty amazing if u ask me
i mean, everything happened in such a short amount of time
and to be honest, i wasnt really ready yet
but i guess the best kind of things are those that hit u with a bang
[or am i just kidding myself]

anyhoooo,
we met up for breakfast @ ampang
then convoy ramai-ramai 3 cars which was great
AND got to spend more time together @ the airport scoffing down Mcd
made the separation transaction easier if u asked me,heh

a quick thank u to them out there
u know who u are,
thank u for the AMAZING gifts
i simply loved it okay
and all the cards!
or better yet,what was written in the cards!
i swear i was bawling my eyes out WHILST tertonggeng and bergolek in the lounge at Abu Dhabi
or as fatima says it,Dhabi Dhabi
[there will b a more personalised thank u addressed to u darlings later when i have the time kay! or when i finally get my address and can do my phone contract thingy,yech]

until then,
it is now 6.43 am Malaysian time and i am the only one not snoring away
a fact which i wish to remedy ASAP
