f1 testing

yesterday went to the f1 testing w/ vicky at sepang
it was the first EVER testing in malaysia
here are a list of the key events:

1.the soooouuunnnddd[okay,its not an event but it is definitely worth mentioning because it is too too awesome...y'know how just the sound,the live one,can make you so excited and so geared up for the real thing]
2.i got to see jenson button,nico rosberg,nick heidfeld and scott speed up close and personal[okay,not really upclose or personal,but still living and breathing which is good enough kan? :)]
3.we got interviewed!! by some newspaper though i dont remember which,but it was pretty cool...they took our name,age,phone nums and everything
4.the guys from the toyota team waved at us!![okay,we waved first lah,haha]
5.there was an accident!a small one im thinking cuz there wasnt any major damage to the car...but isnt it bad that the audience are always wishing for one?an accident i mean,haha
6.the testing itself!it was the greatest and vicky is one hell of an f1 fan so it was cool going with her since she knew every little details...i admire that about her and hope that she'll achieve her dream to work for the honda team.go vicky,go!

all in all,it was a pretty tiring day
but the kind of tired that ur satisfied with
we were in sepang from 11 am to 4 pm but it was worth it
now i cant wait for the real race :)

Especially those old old classics like bambi,Alice in wonderland,Sleeping Beauty and last but certainly not the least,Dumbo

Im sure everyone knows Dumbo,the flying elephant with the huge ears
Now in this movie,one of my favourite scene was when Dumbo's mom,Jumbo
[i know i know,what a name huh? :p]
got locked inside this cage because she was trying to protect Dumbo from this human boy who was making fun of him[pulling his ears and wutnots lah i think]
because of this,she was deemed a "mad elephant" and locked away

Now,my favourite scene is when dumbo came to visit her and this song plays
It is unbelievable heartbreaking and sweet
I swear i cry everytime i see this scene,
And even when i hear the song!

today was s-p-l-e-n-d-i-f-o-r-o-u-s
why?
i went to my favourite secondhand cum rental bookshop
And i was waiting at the counter,about to pay
when this chinese lady came
[with her own stack of books which i could not help but notice contained romance novels,very like my own :)]
This lady smiled and told the cashier "I really liked the author you suggested to me last week"
on which the cashier herself replied "Yes,i've read all her books.She's great cuz her books combine romance and humour,and are very warm and touching"
Naturally,being the avid reader that i am[well romance novel reader lah if u will],i was very curious to know who was the so-called author that was being highly-spoken of
Imagine my suprise when it turned out to be none other than MY favourite author,
SUSAN ELIZABETH PHILLIPS!

By that time, i was already filled with glee and could hardly contain myself
So when the cashier asked the lady "Have you read her latest novel?"
I couldnt help but pipe in "Natural Born Charmer??"
Turns out it wasnt "Natural Born Charmer",but her previous novel "Match Me if You Can"
But my question had turned the whole thing into a three-way conversation of all things Susan Elizabeth Phillips

"Isn't she just grand?"
"Dont you think she's just funny?"
"Was'nt "Aint she sweet" great?"
"Thats the one with the teacher yes?"
"Oh!how about the one with the football?"
"Which of her books would you recommend to me?"

I walked out of the shop feeling twice as much happier then when i came in
and Oh,twice as much poorer too
but to be honest,the books there are waaayyy cheaper than kinokuniya
So i get MORE books for a LOWER price :)

But, i am now and officially broke person
with nary a penny to my name
But,im more happy i guess
that counts for a lot, n'est pas? *smiles*

p.s i waaant a claddagh ring!!! ...wouldnt it be super cool if it were my engagement ring? ;)

so today went for the education exhibition in Mandarin Oriental for UCL,LSE,Imperial and King's College riite
Went with Amani if ur wondering and the education thing turned out to be just four booths with representatives from each uni
It was oookkkaaay lah i guess
On the way back decided to stop by Kinokuniya to pick up the book i ordered,haha
Sooo picked up the book and saw OTHER books[oh the temptation!]
But,i managed to refrain myself from buying more than one[yayy!]
Probably due to my lack of funds tho,rather than my AMAZING willpower,heh

Went to the counter to pay for my book
Everything was ready,my book nicely placed in my beloved kinokuniya bag
I reached to find my purse in my bag,and found...NOTHING
ok exaggerate a bit lah tu ,got la my ipod and sunglasses case and a letter from King's
But purse? No No itu tiada
I bet ur all thinking
Good God,the careless girl got mugged again for the,i dont know,,THIRD TIME!
....BUt,nothing so extreme laaa
i simply forgot to put it in my bag when i changed handbags,haha

I turned to the counter and looked sheepishly while saying"MMm...can i put the book back first because i seem to have left my purse with my friend"
And the very nice lady said"No no its ook we'll just keep it here and you can come back and pay for it"

Went crazy lah with Amani didnt know where to get the money from and i REALLY REALLY wanted the book it was the LAST copy dammit!
Soooo ayah suggested calling pakcik ano to pick us up,take us back to damansara,grab my purse and go to klcc again
Macam a waste of time kan?Not to mention,petrol,which is a waste of money jugaklah
Soooo i came up with a better solution:

MAluuu gilaaaaa!!!
I cannot describe the way i felt
But he was really nice abt it and he gave me 50 bucks
i immediately paid him back once we reached home
And the best part is I GOT THE BOOK
itu paling penting lah :D

i know i know i HATE Akademi Fantasia kan?
BUt,apparently Uncle Lan is the principal this time around so i must overcome my hatred[is that too strong a word?ok dislike lah,thats more mild yeah] to cheer and give him support
